Group,
Well, it's been over a year since I started this thread and I'm
finally getting around to converting my old analog tapes. As
mentioned in previous posts, I'm using a Sony CDR-TRV820 to do the
conversion. Also, I'm capturing into Premiere Elements 7.0.
It's working very nicely except for one small issue that I'm having.
At the very bottom of the captured video are some thin flickering
lines. By the nature of how they look, I'm guessing that they're
synch information.
Now, that has me wondering. Since digital video is 480 lines and
analog was 525 lines minus some overscan/synch, is the camera putting
out standard 480I? And how does it choose which 480 lines? Is there
perhaps a setting on the camera or in Premiere that should be changed
to get rid of the lines?
Thanks,
Randy
