Lee, No, I used different mono sounds.
Have now tried the way CB referred to. (Break out stereo to mono) which I have done many times in the past. Same thing - no problem. In fact I have previously mixed many different types of sound together without a problem. If the file format is acceptable by Premiere it will convert all the different formats (wav, mp3 etc , in stereo, mono or 5.1) to the one you specify in your export settings - the same as with the visuals. The only thing I do not normally do is put the project into Encore (dynamic link) but rather export in Premiere with AME. That way I put only one audio track into Encore.
