I actually don't have a specific single motivation, perhaps other than prior
to asking this question being driven by an innate need to fail at being
famous to prove I am not a failure.

Always trying to "make it" in no given time frame gives me an opportunity to
only have failed if I haven't succeeded by the day I physically die.

And as I can see this is the motivation to look like I want to write a
book???

What is the motivation to tap on these keys right now?

I guess it satisfies and I associate "me" with a sense of satisfaction (a
self concept I have been writing about).

"You" are an author? Perhaps this is the root of writers block.

Okay, got that, thanks

Okay I will rephrase the question, what would motivate you to buy a book?

Sure, in theory yes, or to have a reason not to be a failure. I spend a life
time trying and I can get published at any time even the day before I die,
so I haven't failed till I am dead.

What do you think?

Because there is no YOU right LOL

Cheers

PS people suggest wearing your heart on your sleeve can be a bad thing - I
wonder if the analogy extends to wearing ones mind on one's sleeve :)
