I'm just playing, really.

I do tend to be direct with some people. Maybe on forums a little more
than otherwise, but "it's nice to be nice," as the saying goes.

In forums like this, when someone makes statements or asks questions.
My general approach is to examine concepts.

No concept is sacred in the sense that any concept not be left
unexamined. Honesty is getting to the root of concepts for the sake of
oneself.

It sounds like you are being honest with yourself about your
motivations.

In my mind, if someone is going to be an author or speaker about a
topic, they should be expert in that topic.

What motivates me to buy a book is if I can see, or if I know that the
book has some special knowledge or wisdom from someone whom I consider
to be an expert. When it comes to books on spiritual knowledge and
Consciousness, there are very few books that I would feel motivated to
buy.

As an aside, I'm not an author. I'm a servant. My motives to publish
books was out of service to my Guru and to spiritual seekers. I really
have no interest in name or fame or making money selling spiritual
teachings. But I don't disagree that these are valid motives for many
authors and teachers.

Nice chatting with you.

Cheers! And good luck with your book.
