What became of JPL? My perception (which may be wrong, I don't work in the
area) is that it never really took off or became properly finished.
Perl has been helped considerably by its ability to hijack C APIs such that
even dolts like me who can't program C can write working xs code that gives
me a Perl API.
Does JPL give a similar ability to create a Perl interface to this Java
technology? Is it worth trying to create a Java equivalent of xs?
