A few other observations from the XML world.

Our Java and XML book is selling way way way beyond our expectations.  I
have been told that Perl support for XML is middling at best although I
have no personal experience to support this claim.  IBM has put a big stake
in the ground around Java and XML in their e-commerce efforts.  A small
company that used Perl exclusively to convert document formats to XML for
electronic publishing threw in the towel and is now using Java.

Anyway more food for thought.
