There's been a bit of discussion about it inside O'Reilly.  We've got
some people who think open source is being left behind, some who think
there's no "there" there with .NET, and some with positions in the
middle.  I've forwarded Ask's message quoting the ASF internal list,
and I'll forward any other messages with new insights.
