Subject: Re: Art, aesthetic experiences, and a long pass
And why, though the drama-a.e. seems palpably different from what we get
from
a Bach cantata etc, are we inclined to call them both "a.e.'s"?

If there is no identifying characteristic in either the nature of the
subject or the subjective response to the aesthetic object, what we have
left is the structure or form of the aesthetic experience. I believe the
aesthetic experience has a unique structure that can stand as the
identifying characteristic.

PS: I'm not a boxing fan, but I will admit that boxing is often filled with
gripping drama.
