the thing I like about Scalia is that he is old and won't be around
much
longer, and the public is on to him,hopefully.

chilly self-affirmation. He's particularly scornfully of other

I realize what a nuisance my preachings about language are to many
listers,
but I maintain they have merit even beyond the confines of our
forum. When I
see Scalia's damaging brand of conservatism, which he justifies by
claiming he
is only adhering to a non-existent "THE meaning of" the words of
the Founding
Fathers, I groan.
