>I believe "the moldau" by Smetana is all text, from start to finish. (Mando)
Why use the word "text", instead of just calling it an arrangement of sounds? And unless you have read the score, don't you know that music only by performances -- each of which is different, often in very important ways? BTW -- the difference between the score and the performance is one of the problems I have with Kivy. Since he only addresses the issue of the relative profundity of various composers, perhaps he's one of the few music lovers who can experience music by reading scores. But I only know music from performance, so I experience performers rather than composers. (for example, I find Beethoven's Fifth Symphony to be frivolous when performed by Karajan, but profound when conducted by Carlos Kleiber) ____________________________________________________________ Weight Loss Program Best Weight Loss Program - Click Here! http://thirdpartyoffers.netzero.net/TGL2231/c?cp=XMcjGv4Qk9-L-6F7zzCKlQAAJz6c l_zTaptgNR5c8Mer1v9kAAYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAEUgAAAAA=
