Kivy does not doubt that these texts are profound or that they are presenting "relationships previously unconsidered" But he does question what role the music had in generating them. For example, we can expect that a profound text will be written about each new, significant archeological discovery in the Middle East, even if it's only an iron nail that is 500 years older than it should be.
