Has anyone run across these four modes anywhere else,or did Berger come up
with them himself?   I do think that you can't separate "modes" out to this
degree,and I don't particularly like the decorative mode-if he meant some
sort of formal handling depending heavily on use of symbols and patterns,why
can't he come up with a more appropriate term?
