*nods* That's why I'm all about DC and SFP... you can be much more aggressive
on DC power protection because you don't have to worry about data errors.

Are there self-resettable suppressors that are able to stop anything? Seems
like a good addition to a DC-fed expensive radio.

I think I’ve only had 2 licensed radios zapped (same event), and when I had
them repaired, it was the power supply section that took the damage. So even
with optical data and DC power, I’d say a lightning protector on the power
input at the radio is recommended. The good news is there are less constraints
building a good DC power protector because you don’t have to worry about
affecting the Ethernet data. Just a gas tube and some husky MOVs or something
along those lines. Probably the only good thing from my Purewave adventure is
they told me they had basestations getting fried by lightning until they
started telling customers to install a DC protector and that solved the issue.

I learned the hard way that having a complete spare link on the shelf isn’t
necessarily good enough, since a lightning strike at a tower is likely to take
out several HIGH or several LOW radios, not one HIGH and one LOW.

624mbps in a 80MHz channel, ACM, copper gigabit port. The DT version is a
little over twice that for double the throughput and dual SFP slots.

I used to be able to get a SIAE ALFOplus link for the same price as the ST, now
it's closer to $7k - and you need a full set to spare it. The Bridgewave has
user replaceable / reversable diplexers, which is huge IMO.

Mind sharing the specs (throughput, channel size, etc) of the ST model for a

I just got a quote yesterday, the ST model was around d $4k a link with
full licenses. The DT model was about twice that.

Yea, no. I’m not sure if I can release pricing but figure somewhere
around $10-$12k with antennas depending on options. If you double up the
radios, even more.

~$4k was the price that I heard originally.

Depends on what you think the price is.

I heard that some people have beta units.. I have also heard the price
is NOT what everyone thought it would be.

The features look good, and pricing is pretty aggressive.
