Apparently they've had trouble hitting target unit costs both for the CPE and the satellites.  Mesh is wonderful and all, but it's limited by the weakest or most congested path.  The paths in highest demand (i.e. the ones people actually want to use) end up providing the worst experience.  I guess I'm saying I still have doubts.

Does anyone know how much capacity they expect to have on this network?  The only reference I found was some shmoe on Reddit claiming 20gbps per satellite.  I have no idea where he got that from, and I don't know if that's orbit to ground or satellite to satellite.

It would be a big mess for a short time but these are really low so it would de-orbit quickly.  I'm really interested in what this would do for building a decentralized WISP/MDU ISP.  If I get PTP Gig or 10Gig from anywhere to anywhere it would make building/expanding an ISP a whole lot easier.
