Makes you question whether the competing routers actually have any secret sauce, or if it’s just a chipset plus Linux and a GUI.
My recollection is that the first Linksys routers were pretty much the chipset reference design HW and FW. Kind of like the ag automation products that are literally a Beagleboard in a box.
