Somehow that’s making me hungry for a BLT.

We had a local deli that made a killer turkey-bacon club with lettuce and
tomato and cheddar cheese and horseradish mustard on multigrain toast. The
building was once a Cock Robin Ice Cream, still had the sign. Went out of
business 2 or 3 years ago. Damn.

Is this the same virtual product? Or if we switch to x do we have to migrate to
a new on premise or new cloud server? And if the sunscriprionnis cancelled?

Or is it just turn on and turn off inside of the software?

And sandwiches, I was told there would be sandwiches

It’s not really two different products. Think of it as a Freemium model. You
can create a free account in cnMaestro cloud anytime, and start using it.
Alternatively you can also download the on-prem version and start using it
(also free).

If you want the advanced features, then you need a subscription.

As a wisp, you get all the essential functionality for free, with the basic
version. These essential functions include the following (some of these are
Wi-Fi related):

*       Device onboarding

*       Monitoring

*       Configuring

*       Notifications – alarms & events

*       Basic captive portal

*       Dashboard

*       Device inventory

*       Network topology

*       SW updates

*       Maps

* Wireless & wired client view

*       Floor plan

*       Moving APs between sites

* Remote packet capture/debug, WiFi Analyzer, NW

*       Connectivity

*       Link test

*       Performance KPIs

*       RF Quality

*       Satellite view

*       Email notification

The free features are pretty much everything you need unless you want to use
the API functionality and a couple others. For wisps, cnMaestro X provides
the following “paid” features that will be of interest to some: APIs, Reports,
audit logs. Most of the other X features are more related to enterprise Wi-Fi
like advanced captive portals, MSP (multi tenancy), and others. And, you also
get premium tech support (24x7, quick escalation) with a subscription to X.

All of these X features have been identified within cnMaestro with a “Pro” flag
for the last few years. It has been no secret that Cambium has always been
planning to eventually start charging for the Pro features. That time has
finally come, although instead of naming it cnMaestro Pro, it’s named cnMaestro
X.

Matt feel free to give me a call to discuss.

Are these two different products or is the X just the name for the management
software that has a pay for future model?

Is there anything we are losing that we currently have today if we don’t start
paying for this product that I know nothing about other than through this

That’s correct. FWB is fixed wireless broadband. So for wisps there are two
pricing components: SMs (referred to as tier 1) & APs/PTP (referred to tier 2).
 SMs are less expensive than the APs. For example, for the three year
subscription the SM MSRP is $16 (or $5.33 per year) and APs are $60 ($20 per
year). As for PTP, this includes the sub 6 GHz backhauls like the PTP 670 and
550 (cnMaestro does not yet support PTP 820). Pricing for enterprise
Wi-Fi/enterprise gear follows the third schedule, referred to as Tier 3.

Again, keep in mind that an X subscription also comes along with Cambium Care
Pro which is a 24/7 enhanced tech support service. Standard tech support
(8x5) is still free.

hank you for being a part of the cnMaestro beta program and your feedback on
the Pro features. Cambium Networks is proud to announce the release of
cnMaestro X this month, including the Pro features you are using today.

Starting January 4th, you will have the option to turn on cnMaestro X for a
90-day trial. On April 5th, your account will downgrade to the free version of
cnMaestro if you do not wish to upgrade to cnMaestro X.

Below are a few cnMaestro X highlights:

1. Support for Software Defined Radios, high-density Wi-Fi APs, and the
new 60GHz PTP solution
2.      Long term historical data
3. MSP features including managed tenant accounts & branding
4.      API and webhooks
5. Higher limits for ePSK, admin accounts, and captive portals

Please contact your distributor or partner for pricing details.

Thanks!
