My view from the phone support perspective is people should buy whatever device they like, as long as they know how to use it, or are willing to learn.
But if you are ignorant and like it that way, please disregard the outdated wisdom that any idiot can operate a Mac because they are so simple and intuitive. If you don’t even know where the power switch is, how to launch an application or find a file, or how to connect to a WiFi network, please buy whatever the other 95% of the world buys, because that’s what I’m going to be able to walk you through from memory, crib sheets, or the Windows machine sitting on my desk. Don’t buy a foreign sports car and then expect the dealer or gas station attendant to teach you how to shift. If you are lucky to know what hole the gas goes in, you should have bought the Camry. I don't think there's a company of that size in that space. Google and Microsoft's estimated value together are not as big as Apple's. Someone is doing something right...all of them do something...but it definitely shows someone is doing something right. Just because I use an iPhone doesn't mean I can't prefer Windows on the desktop.
