Looking at the website, it shows two GPS antennas. If you could get accurate
enough location, you could use two locations to calculate the aim of the tool.
I am guessing that is how they did it. Are GPS modules accurate enough to get
sub centimeter locations now-a-days? I may have to resurrect the project if
they don’t have a patent on the idea.

I built one of these. GPS, inclinometers, mag compass etc. But the flux
gate magnetic compass gets thrown off by towers. So it was not worth even
trying in my opinion. Now, if they have discovered a way to get heading info
that can be relied upon, good for them. I couldn’t solve the problem.

7000 bucks? I mean, seriously, if you want to teach new guys to align a PTP
link, have them do a 3.5km path with 80 GHz and 2' antennas. Nothing has a
smaller center beam size. If they can do that effectively, they can do anything.

Would anyone care to recommend their favorite distributor of gear?
