Well here's my thoughts. I'm currently using ePMP. It does
pretty well, but there's little to know nLOS functionality. 2400
MHz with ePMP gets scarred by even a few trees. There are a lot
of homes (maybe 20%) that we could hook up if we could burn
through some trees.
20% more customers/revenue doesn't justify the expense of Telrad
- this is with the assumption that Telrad would be able to burn
through the trees at 3650. Huge waste in capex if we don't get
those extra customers unless we can really upsell customer's on
higher bandwidth rates (I expect this to be minimal).
If Baicells can offer the same (assumed) nLOS capability at a
lower cost and I can hook up 20% more customers, the numbers
could certainly work. More people are happy we can give them
service and Imagine is happier to have the greater revenue (and a
safe bet of higher ARPU).
