I use a Cutoff wheel makes for easy work in seconds. I did several out of 10' stick.
I use them for small switches as well.
I am still looking for a good solution to the larger brick POE for ptp650 units. We usually just mount them on a board on the wall.

I was using a sawzall on the steel rail and cleaning up with a flat file. A hacksaw cuts like butter through the aluminum rail and a couple swipes with a file cleans them up pretty quick. Just gotta be a little careful with the aluminum rail since it'll obviously bend easier.

My Harbor Freight DIN cutter was a bit more expensive ($60), but requires less elbow grease. We use a metal chop saw.

    It's called a hacksaw.

I've found that aluminum rail tends to be much more forgiving.
    Something
about the steel rail always gave me fitment issues. Perhaps the
    Phoenix
Contact steel stuff I was using is just slightly over sized.
    Aluminum
all the way now. Easier to cut and clean. And no, there's no way
    in hell
I'd every spend $$ on a rail cutter for the one or two a month
    that I do.
