Why not study Isreal. I think they have a wall and i think they believe it works. Obviously a lot shorter than our border but the premise is the same. I think Russia built a short wall that worked well for a while in Germany somewhere. I am not saying a wall is the solution, just that there are modem examples of them doing so.
I think I'd you shoot everyone who cruised when their foot hit the dirt on the US side it would probably deter a lot of people. I doubt that would be acceptable though. But again, i thought we were discussing things that would work.
