This makes me think of the Skypilot thing where they switched to using UBNT clients. Unless that was only talking to the 2.4 AP instead of the mesh sector deal. I don't remember.

Or even better, sell their radios preloaded with the EPMP load and work out a discount for AP licenses through them for their customers.
