Cambium sync is going to happen... but I didn't want to hold this injector any longer.
My choice was to ship a functional, solid, working injector now which does everything but cambium sync, or hold it for a few more months. At some point I just have to ship something, instead of waiting until some fictional future point where there aren't any additional features to be added. The advantage here is that the controller and enclosure will remain the same. Customers who want cambium sync can wait a bit more, or can buy the system as it is and swap out boards as needed down the road. The other driving factor is that Cambium sync will be increasing the sale price by at least $10 and maybe as much as $20 per port. This means that there is a good chance that a fully loaded cambium sync rackinjector will cost around $250 more than the non-cambium sync version. For those people who don't need cambium sync, this is a big jump for a feature they don't need, so I'll be selling both versions. -forrest On Mon, Jan 30, 2017 at 9:17 AM, Ken Hohhof <[email protected]> wrote: > New installations will be biased toward new APs, so Cambium sync may be a > critical feature. > > > > > > *From:* Af [mailto:[email protected]] *On Behalf Of *Forrest Christian > (List Account) > *Sent:* Monday, January 30, 2017 9:30 AM > *To:* af <[email protected]> > *Subject:* Re: [AFMUG] PacketFlux Rackmount Injector Update > > > > Yes.
