They train up just like the old dial up modems. Just can’t hear it.

There must be a minimum SNR for each speed.
I wonder if there's a bridge like that with automatic rate selection....seems
like a feature you'd want.

And what if I have high line noise?

no 30a is better as long as you have low line noise

I'd be happy with say 10 or 20 megs, it's only for a few WiFi residents.
I'm looking more for reliability than speed.

Would 17 MHz be more reliable than 30 MHz?

the main thing to look for with a VDSL2 converter bridge pair is, will
it do the 30a profile (30MHz). Depending on how noisy your lines are or loop
length you may need to flip a switch to change between 17a profile or 30a. But
ideally 30a profile should actually have slightly more bandwidth that is
required to bridge 100BaseTX at line rate.

Those both look perfect! Even better than I was hoping.

I'm going to try the Planet one since it's cheaper+I know the name.

I'm looking for something I believe was discussed here multiple
times. I have old copper going between a few stories in the building and I
need to get bandwidth up there. Isn't there some box that people have used
that will run with 2 wire or any kind of wire essentially and then you have
100baseT?
