Either the Salt Lake City or Salt Lake County police has a record going of the
longest period of time without killing anyone. Not sure if this is just their
personal best or compared to a similar sized city. They have instituted new
training that emphasizes fist fighting first.

I watch the new hires go through training at security firm where I do contract
work. Some will never be able to defend themselves hand to hand, or with
baton...they are trained with guns and have to pass that training or
sayonara...I hope I am never working at camp when they have to use force. I
want a personal force field, Chuck....rustle one up for me please in your lab

When really angry or really scared, unless you have had some training on

There was still a small part of my brain sane enough to form that
observation. That is the most scared I have ever been. I also remember
thinking "you have never truly been scared before, you might have though you
were scared but nothing compares with this".

It's about what happens in the instant. The red vision only lasted
less than a minute and by the time I got to the screen door it had
faded. BUT if I had the means to kill them in 2 seconds, it would have
happened. That's the difference between a gun and a knife. Specially
if I was then as proficient with a gun as I am now. I am also a lot
older, a lot more experienced and have seen death up close and personal.
Probably wouldn't have the same thing happen in the same scenario,
  but YOU JUST DON"T KNOW....

OK, but what does a gun/guns have to do with that scenario? Could you

    are not the problem.

two coverings of sheet rock ( luckily missed the stud ) and let go a

Don't test the legal system unless you have very deep pockets, in

LOL ! and I believe that is exactly what the Ground Crew did (with
          making the video).

And so you are in agreement that :-
"If you allow your crews to pack heat were they in the right to defend
          themselves"

Would not be the better, smarter or wiser way of dealing with such !

Let's turn this into a productive conversation, with relevance...

We all have crews working outside... so what should be the SOP for
              them, under such circumstances ?
What type of training do we need to provide to assure everyone's
              safety ?
What should be the reactions expected from the OSP Crew ?

Disparity in how cops treat perps based on skin color is very
political, like global warming, evolution and the flat earth.

All of which should be discussed on other forums as they have
nothing to do with operating a WISP.

We lost Ken Hohof over this kind of thing last fall.

That’s just wrong Faisal to perpetuate this on this list.
There were a lot of great things you could have stated
          here:

Was AT&T on the guys property without permission?

Safety of the guy in the bucket while someone is shooting
                      the tires out.

Safety of the guy in the bucket while engine/controls get
                      shot out

How the ground guys handled the situation

If you allow your crews to pack heat were they in the
                      right to defend themselves

You get where I’m going but this list has no place for
this political BS. The sad part is you sent this to the
          list.
