Well. The process is to ride the storm… Lucky for us, 90% of all structures are full concrete, so they’ll withstands the winds no problem. Lots of folks either have storm resistant windows or use storm shutters. For those that do not live in a secure home or are close to the coast line, the government uses school buildings are refuge.
The big issue its going to be the power grid, 90% is aerial and the local power company is in its worst economic position in its existence. (broke). Last big hurricanes (Hugo 89 and Georges 98) it took up to 4 months to restore power in some areas!
