Maybe you raise your post storm prices by 1000 percent because you need to make
a profit and you are a monopoly?

Well. The process is to ride the storm… Lucky for us, 90% of all structures
are full concrete, so they’ll withstands the winds no problem. Lots of folks
either have storm resistant windows or use storm shutters. For those that do
not live in a secure home or are close to the coast line, the government uses
school buildings are refuge.

The big issue its going to be the power grid, 90% is aerial and the local power
company is in its worst economic position in its existence. (broke). Last big
hurricanes (Hugo 89 and Georges 98) it took up to 4 months to restore power in
some areas!

I dont know how island life works, like if there were transport vessels into
the us mainland. I dont know how evacuations actually work, I am one who would
not evacuate short of a visible mushroom cloud.
what do they do with regular people type people that arent prepared down there?

They just need to hollow out a mountain to hide in.

On an island I suppose you just have to batten the hatches and hold on to your
hat.

Is PR running evacuations or anything? I dont know much about their elevations
or anything, but its looking pretty grim. Are they under the FEMA umbrella as
a territory?
