I don't know about this. Controlling a fully repairable entity which is basically immortal while still being a victim of ego and identification seems to be a bad idea. Most of our spiritual progress stems from suffering and setbacks grinding down our ego and sense of self.

Just give an immature child an immortal game character (via the use of cheats for example) and watch how he not only ruins the game for everybody else but also how his quality of consciousness degenerates quickly.

IMHO, the fragile nature of our human avatars is critical for the whole learning process (or rather for the reduction of entropy inherent to our individual consciousness).

99% of humanity does not feature the quality of consciousness it would take to responsibly deal with more powerful avatars. Just imagine the Hitler regime, Trump government or your average neighbour to be in control of semi-immortal avatars ... NO THANK YOU!
