There is nothing "dualistic" about my world view, everything is mind, and this
whole incarnative space is a game we are playing. However the fact remains that
we have not reverses engineered the pineal gland (publicly anyways), nor do we
have much hardware for soul interfacing, currently the best we have is random
number generators, which are insufficient for having much control, since we'd
want to have more structure that can be modified stochastically, allowing us to
have better expression.  Besides that there is also the matter of the software
that hasn't been developed,
I'm working on Pyash which is critical for a seamless experience (where
everything can be accomplished in just one language).

Justcamel:

I think like many other people you overestimate the durability of computer
hardware, there is nothing "immortal" about robots or computers, in many ways
they are significantly more fragile than their human counterparts. For instance
most hardware components need to be replaced every 4-7 years simply to maintain
operation. And hot swapping a CPU isn't on anyones todo list that I'm aware of.
The fact that we have to reboot our machines on a fairly regular basis is also
indicative of that we have a ways to go before the software is ready for human
level souls, that may want to live at least years, possibly decades.

we'd need something like the minix 3 operating system, where everything can be
hotswapped including the kernel.
So likely hardware wise we'd need at least two of everything, so can hotswap a
CPU while at least one is running.
Only things that are hotswapable in modern hardware are RAM and hard drives. I
once tried hot swapping an SATA DVD drive and burned the motherboard.

The point of incarnating as a robot is not "virtual immortality" but rather the
exploration of new sensory stimuli and modes of cognition. It also allows for
colonizing many new eco-regions, and allows for novel forms of socio-dynamics.
