Moore's law shows the cost of computing dropping by a factor of 10 every 5
years, which should reach 10 petaflops and 1 petabyte (human brain level)
for $1 in 2045. Unfortunately the energy cost of 10^16 operations per
dollar is not dropping so fast. Otherwise we would have had AGI in 2015 for
$1 million, the threshold for a positive return on investment.

As long as the biggest and least reliable component of your phone is the
battery, and AGI costs $1 per second for electricity, most of our jobs are
safe.
