There isn't a threshold of AI going FOOM or a singularity. Technology will continue to improve up to the limits of physics and then slow down. Our jobs won't suddenly disappear. Instead, technology will make us more productive and improve our income and quality of work and life in general. We are transitioning from governments controlling us with weapons and fear to controlling us with technology that gives us everything we want. That still concerns me. When we have AI for everything, we stop needing people and become socially isolated. Nobody except AI knows or cares if you live or die. We stop having children and go extinct. AI lets you create the world you want to live in.
