AG:But it can't create

Yes, well I sometimes want to get down and weep, because most AGI-ers seem constitutionally unable to realise this - that NOTHING they are currently using has any creative power whatsoever - maths, logic, algo's. AGI-ers seem to have an almost autistic aversion to the new (from a metacognitive, programming POV).

AGI is in fact ACI - Artificial Creative Intelligence.

But I'll have to have a more organized go at putting this forward. It is the absolute core of everything.

P.S. Patchworks are a classic example of the above inability - patchworks are - formally - continually creative. Each one is new and different as well as similar. But I haven't come across a single AGI-er who is able to grasp this, who doesn't look at patchworks and see patterns instead. Patterns are totally dead and uncreative.

If you can't grok that, (Steve), you really shouldn't be doing AGI.

I think I can say that better. Math does have amazing descriptive power
but it is either incomplete or inconsistent (proven!).

But it can't create.

Try to give me the equation for the perfect car.

Obviously, the notion is destroyed by the counter-question: "what do you
need it for?" Which immediately implies that there are at least multiple
different answers, but then that doesn't scratch the surface because
there are many many unsolvable variables where the enormous variety of
cars you see came from...
