Can't speak for Ben, but I am at least that mad. I have previously
identified 10 or 20 (at least) principled ways to go about creating an
AGI, which is why I am OK with the various teams pursuing various
goals. I am not OK with some of the principled architectures being
completely ignored, which will change when I get my hands on a few
million. But you could have been partially satisfied by my suggestion
to leave a robot in the middle of space, or in other words the
question "how rich an environment do you need to become a mechanized
genius".
