We need a bio-Latin name for religion so we can fit it into the taxonomic tree. Maybe mens parasitus, of the family ratiocinativae. There would of course be different subspecies: mens parasitus Christus, mens parasitus Mahamedus, etc. And we could have another genus/species, computatrum parasitus, devoted to computer viruses. Then we can start treating the mathematical expression of what god's existence means to us in terms of the mathematical tools of epidemiology and population dynamics. I mean, come on! We're dealing with a whole new "kingdom of life" here! Isn't it about time someone studied it as such?
