I'd loose my troll credentials if I didn't respond to this.  =|

My position is that I feel that uploading is crowding out all other
forms of transhumanism, especially ones that I find more interesting
(read: sexy).  Many of the writings of the several self-proclaimed
transhumanists basically demand the conclusion that there is an ongoing
program, that is quickly picking up momentum, to impose a new religious
doctrine that states that Transhumanism really is nothing other than a
single, very specific, form of mind uploading and that, after a grace
period of maybe a week and a half, everyone who does not voluntarily
upload, will be uploaded anyway but an attempt will be made to conceal
this fact and the uploadee will be expected to somehow enjoy being in
this prison that is Just Like Earth(tm).

I'm writing a response to that, currently at 41,000 words. =P

I think I'm going to have to write a post to the other list....
