Hmmm... seems to me that life extension and AI are getting more love than uploading lately -- there is lots of tech industry $$ and media going into these too areas lately, not so much into mind uploading...
You may be right that mind uploading is getting a lot of attention in the transhumanist community currently. But, the transhumanist community is not really all that centrally relevant to the advancement of transhumanism-enabling technologies, is it?
