Mind uploading doesn't necessarily refer to creating uploads that live in
virtual realities; it can refer to creating digital versions of minds that
are embodied in robots that live in our physical reality...

However, it's a crude term, which is why Randal Koene advocates to talk
about "substrate-independent minds" instead...
