A little bit of consciousness in Siri will go a long way.

And the Google Chrome voice search is unbelievable. Have you tried it? You can
essentially pick up any mobile device and voice questions to it like "Who won
the world series in 1949?" or "What's the melting point of iron?" and it will
speak the answer back to you conversationally realtime. Simply amazing. No
consciousness there. I'm sure that we can extend our thinking relatively easily
on what adding some simple consciousness functionality to this would be. For
example:

"Ok Google have to do a lot of accounting work today and I'm very tired can you
help?"
"My life is just very blurry lately I don't know how to deal with things do you
have similar experiences?"
"We need to create some original soothing music for bereaving agnostic
libertarians can you suggest a few bars?"
"Show me some Feng Shui color schemes for this post-industrial design interior
to enhance our architectural group think."

All of these are programmable with relatively simple consciousness emulation.
