Oh yes.  There was a full mechanism for appeals or later judges staying 
orders, vacating orders, appealing, re-executing, etc.  It worked well 
(except for the poorly-regulated "private orders", by which anyone could 
order anyone else to do anything which caused orders in general to be 
unpopular).   Check e.g. Rules 1793-1799 in Nov. 2006 ruleset.
