That electricity crackling sound is just that--a light that is sparking and 
short-circuiting; it's game effect.  A sighted person told me that.  It's 
not a mindgrid special sound.  As far as the paucity of on-line live player 
games, I agree it's frustrating, and every now and then I check the stats 
and servers page, but no one's ever playing.
