As I posted yesterday, but never saw it come through here, I believe that
this research may have a direct bearing on the ease with which blind people
mobilize in the real world. I recently read a novel in which a graduate
researcher is attempting to use GPS technology for the blind, combined with
AQ-like continuous sound feedback, to give blind people an interactive tool
for mapping out their surroundings. I believe that eventually this can be
taken out of the virtual gaming world and combined with existing and
developing technology to create an effective enhanced mobility tool and
guide.

Speaking of audio game maker, I have it on my hard drive but have not been
able to make hears or tails of it at all. The tutorial is more confusing
than useful, and I gave up on it after a few days. Anyone who has a handle
on it, write me off list, please?
Thanks.
