Sounds like it is starting on the initial 'squirt' from the cold start
injector, then dying because air is leaking into the system around the
metering device.
Just had to do this to a friend's Bosch injected Spider a few weeks ago.

Either that or the fuel pump runs for a couple of seconds and primes the
system, but then doesn't come back on once the engine has started---and
the engine dies as soon as the fuel pressure drops.
