Graham

Koni does have an agency here in NZ - George Stock Ltd in Auckland. They have
repaired competition shocks for me. These are coil-over double-adjustable
Konis
but they can do others as well including shortening and revalving for lowered
cars with stiffer springs.

If you haven't joined us over here on _www.alfabb.com_
(http://www.alfabb.com) I suggest you do so. Not sure koni strut rebuilds
covered in much
detail but see this thread for some info on OEM 164 struts and strut oils and
more info:

Here is link to our friend Pinino's 164 OEM QV strut rebuild on line
manual. Maybe/maybe not helpful for Koni struts.

G'day Jeff,

Thanks for the thought, but I'm in NZ, and Koni Inc hasn't got a factory
presence here, but instead they appoint local specialist automotive
companies as authorised agents. So there's no free rebuilds here (not as
far
as I've ever heard, anyway), and we either do our own maintenance or pay
the
specialist agents' usual commercial rates.
I'm going to try a few genuine shockie oils and it shouldn't be too hard to
home in on an appropriate viscosity.

Best regards,
Graham H,
NZ (Alfasud, GTV, 156).
