Hi, Shirley. Among the usual suspects I would pick Zdenek Zvolanek ro
supervise a local team. A watercourse might interest him strangely.

Subject: [Alpine-l] Rock Garden Designer

Hi,
I belong to the MN Chapter of NARGS. I have been requested by Dr. Snyder,
the director of the University of MN Landscape Arboretum to help him find a
person with experience in designing a rock garden. I have been part of a
crew of our members who care for the rock garden at the arboretum. It is
not in a good location as 3/4 of the garden is shaded by a large tree. Dr.
Snyder is new to MN. having come from California. There are plans for
additional expansions to the arboretum. He sees the need for a new rock
garden in a better location. He would like a designer with credentials
which would help get the design approved by the U.of M. He would like it to
be a very attractive design (perhaps with additional features- ie. water,
dry bed ??) as if once approved he would bring it to persons who would
consider funding it. I have asked some members of NARGS but have not gotten
any names of possibilities. I am now putting it to members of Alpine -L.
