Hi Doug,  Thanks, that's reassuring.  I'll work with the unit again later and 
see what I can get.  I've selected what looks like APRS in the 
AltOSUI program and I've tried the TeleGPS program too v1.5.  I'll work with it 
some more.
It's a nice small unit.  I like the footprint  Kurt KC9LDH

Check and make sure you have APRS settings 310 and 311 on the right band (at 
least B for Rx) and 1200baud. I just tried to set mine up after enabling the 
packets on the TeleGPS. Works like a champ now.
