Bev Date: 11.30.01 From: The Irish Museum of Modern Art ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Subject: opportunity for net.artists at The Irish Museum of Modern Art I would like to take this opportunity to invite net artists subscribed to the Rhizome list to participate in a new net.art initiative at the Irish Museum of Modern Art. This will be IMMAs first venture into exhibiting net.art and it seems fitting that in recognition of the difficulties of curating net.art in museums that this should be an uncurated show, or rather, an exhibition curated by the net art community itself. Therefore I would like to invite net artists who wish to participate in this exhibition to mail their name and url to [EMAIL PROTECTED] All submissions will be included in the exhibition which will take place both on our website and in the museum building. Artists who disagree with either this exhibition concept or with the idea of exhibitions of net.art in museums in general are also invited to mail their criticisms and these will be included on an equal footing to the net.art. http://www.irishmuseumofmodernart.com ------------------------------------------------- a m b i t : networking media arts in scotland post: [EMAIL PROTECTED] info: send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and write "info ambit" in the message body -------------------------------------------------
