on a note of sharing...for all those non-rhizomers there was an opportunity on
the latest digest to participante in an online exhibition at Irish Museum of
Modern Art. Interesting to see how they are approaching the how should/should
online work be shown in galleries issue with an area for discussion about this
alongside the urls included...

gina - would be great to get posts about the lectures in dundee and same goes
from other institutions with lecture programmes.

Subject: opportunity for net.artists at The Irish Museum of Modern Art

I would like to take this opportunity to invite net artists subscribed
to the Rhizome list to participate in a new net.art initiative at the
Irish Museum of Modern Art.

This will be IMMAs first venture into exhibiting net.art and it seems
fitting that in recognition of the difficulties of curating net.art in
museums that this should be an uncurated show, or rather, an exhibition
curated by the net art community itself.

Therefore I would like to invite net artists who wish to participate in
this exhibition to mail their name and url to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] All submissions will be included in the
exhibition which will take place both on our website and in the museum
building.

Artists who disagree with either this exhibition concept or with the
idea of exhibitions of net.art in museums in general are also invited to
mail their criticisms and these will be included on an equal footing to
the net.art.
