But I think the issue of privacy and the desire to retrospectively edit public postings is still contentious, and the problem won't go away. Spiders can still index our web server. So, at least from now on, as we state in the etiquette guidelines, consider whether your response should go to the list as a whole or just to specific individuals off-list. This should solve the majority of these kinds of problems.
