load averages: 0.25, 0.23, 0.27 16:50:11
101 tasks: 99 sleeping, 2 running CPU usage: 15.3%
chip: 1711K fast: 15415K virtual: 0K total: 17126K largest: 14206K

PID USERNAME PRI NICE STATE TIME CPU NAME
  273 - -53 0 wait 21:07 4.39% AmIRC
  300 - -53 0 wait 1:58 4.34% AmIRC
  224 - 20 0 ready 2:01 2.74% input.device
   20 - -53 0 run 0:00 0.93% [Top]
  314 - -53 0 wait 2:26 0.83% AmIRC

Note that all copies of AmIRC have been running for the same length of time,
yet the one with 8 tabs has eaten about 10x as much CPU.

I do a /dcc send (just so the file requester opens) and:

PID USERNAME PRI NICE STATE TIME CPU NAME
  273 - -63 0 ready 21:58 80.85% AmIRC

I close the dcc send window and usage drops again.

3.3 used to keep CPU at about 30-40% constantly. 3.4 seems to have improved
this a little, although I have seen it eat that sort of CPU for no apparant
reason.

Hmm

I selected the window and watched it's CPU usage go though the roof. For the
record, my curser isn't set to blink or anything.

Using Textinput.mcc 26.7

Regards

Tom
