Just answered my own question(s). I wasn't sure I had actually opened
access.log in ColdFusion Studio as I told Stephen and Jason, so I just tried
it again. I got a warning message from ColdFusion saying the log wasn't a
real text file and asking me what I wanted to do. When I told it to open the
logfile anyway, I got a screen in which -- you guessed it -- every other
character was a space! I downloaded a fresh copy of the logfile from the
server and made sure it was "clean" in ColdFusion Studio, then ran Analog
again. Success! Somewhere in the process of handling the first copy of the
log, I probably used software (Notepad or WordPad) that damaged the file.
Another "user error." Thank you, Stephen and Jason!
