Could Analog be written to be smart enough to notice the difference?
Then it could alias unresolved names before lookups, removing them from
the lookups and alias resolved names afterwards. I know this would
require an extra pass on the hosts table, but it might save enough time
in lookups to make it effective (when lookups are enabled).
